The Magic Pencil That Taught the Power of Honesty
Once upon a time, in a cheerful little town filled with colorful houses, lived a curious boy named Ayaan. He loved to draw more than anything in the world. Walls, notebooks, even the dusty ground—Ayaan turned everything into art.
One evening, while walking home from school, Ayaan noticed a shiny pencil lying near an old banyan tree. It sparkled strangely, as if whispering his name.
As soon as he picked it up, a soft voice said,
“Whatever you draw with me will come true… but only if your heart is honest.”
Ayaan’s eyes widened.
“A magic pencil?” he gasped.
That night, Ayaan drew a beautiful red bicycle. The moment he finished, POOF!—the bicycle appeared right in front of him. Ayaan jumped with joy and rode it all around the neighborhood.
The next day at school, Ayaan saw his friend Rafi crying. Rafi had lost his lunch money. Ayaan knew he could help—but instead, he quietly drew a pile of coins for himself and hid them.
Suddenly, the coins disappeared.
Confused, Ayaan tried again. But every selfish drawing vanished.
That evening, Ayaan felt ashamed. He went back to the banyan tree and whispered,
“I’m sorry. I used your magic for the wrong reason.”
The pencil glowed softly.
The next day, Ayaan drew a small purse and wrote Rafi’s name beside it. Instantly, the purse appeared near Rafi’s school bag.
Rafi’s face lit up with happiness.
“Thank you, Ayaan! I don’t know how it got here, but thank you for staying with me.”
From that moment on, Ayaan used the magic pencil only to help others—drawing books for poor children, food for hungry animals, and umbrellas for people in the rain.
One day, the pencil turned into a normal pencil again. But Ayaan smiled.
He had learned something far more powerful than magic.
